Withings Aura is a well thought-out active system designed to both monitor and improve sleep quality through the combined use of a contact-free Sleep Sensor tucked under the mattress, an active light and sound Bedside Device, and a smartphone app.
- Dedicated sleep and wake-up programs - When it is time to fall asleep, Aura uses certain red wavelengths that favor the secretion of Melatonin in your body, consequently easing the onset of sleep. When it is time to wake up, Aura gradually lights up with well-defined blue wavelengths that inhibit the secretion of Melatonin, contributing to a smooth wake-up

A smart alarm that adapts to your sleep pattern - Aura offers a Smart WakeUP function that adapts the timing of your wake-up program to your personal sleep cycles, using the data recorded during the night by the Sleep Sensor. When necessary, Smart WakeUP will bring forward the wake-up time a little to ensure that you emerge revived from a light sleep cycle.

An advanced sleep sensor - Place the discreet Sleep Sensor under your mattress and forget about it. Highly sensitive, it monitors your sleep cycles through body movement, breathing cycle and heart rate analysis.
An environmental sensing bedside lamp - The Bedside Device analyzes sound, temperature and light levels throughout the night, noting any degradation of the quality of sleep due to your bedroom's environment, and helping you understand what impacts your sleep negatively..

Visualize your full sleep cycles on your smartphone (including REM) - Upon sunrise, your night's data has already been synced, analyzed and turned into a graph showcasing the different stages of sleep (light, deep and REM) and key sleep quality indicators (duration of sleep, time it took to fall asleep, number of wake-ups), available in the app. Use this information as an opportunity to precisely assess your sleep, discover what wakes you up, compare nights.
Human-centered design.
Connected only when needed - To avoid unnecessary exposure to electromagnetic airwaves the Bedside Device is wired to the Sleep Sensor and shuts off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth when you plug in your smartphone to charge it.
A touch-sensitive interface - Aura's functions - including dimming the light, changing the speaker's volume, launching and stopping the programs - are triggered by tapping or swiping your hand on the right-hand side and top of the device.
Works with 2 persons in bed - Even though the Sleep Sensor is designed for one person, another person sleeping next to you won't disturb the tracking. You can also choose to plug a second Sleep Sensor (sold separately) to the same Bedside Device for a two-person sleep tracking experience.
