Guitarist John Shirba created his suite of five movements for a quintet featuring saxophonist Anthony Braxton. Other musicians include drummer Gino Robair, trumpeter Greg Kelley and bassist Morgan Guberman. The music weaves free improvisation around a notated 5-part structure that serves to outline the composition. Shiurba is a member of the bands Eskimo, Pink Mountain and Spezza Rotto. In addition, he has toured with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and performed with Fred Frith, The Splatter Trio and members of the Rova Saxophone Quartet.
